    Responsibilities

    • Provide upbeat, professional, service that goes above and beyond our guests’ expectations
    • Being up to date on all Pursuit products, discounts and promotions is key
    • This position includes indoor and outdoor components, meaning that the work week will vary
    • Educating guests on the Pursuit Attractions and guiding them through the purchasing process
    • Providing guests information on the local area
    • Ticket validation as guests begin the Glacier Adventure or Glacier Skywalk
    • Coordinating guests and tour groups on/off coaches and/or Ice Explorers
    • Group Sales and Group Check-in
    • Guest surveying
    • Maintaining cleanliness of guest areas
    • Operate the point of sale system with accuracy and efficiency
    • The responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms  
    • Communicate with co-workers and management, forward observations and comments in a timely fashion
    • Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
    • Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
    • Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset
    • Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
    • Ability to think on the fly and outside the box to solve problems with a positive attitude
    • Second language, an asset
    • Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
    • Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
    • Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
    • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for inclement weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
    • Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
    • To honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check
    • Standard First-Aid or higher an asset

    Work Environment

    • Contract dates;
      • Now to October 21st, 2018
    • Typically 5 days on/2 days off
    • 6 days on/1 day off during peak periods
    • Split shifts as per schedule
    • Days off may change with each schedule and depend on business level
    • Long weekends may incur schedule changes
    • Expect 35 – 44 hours per week depending on business levels
    • Polo shirts, North Face Pants and indoor jacket will be issued on arrival
    • Outdoor uniform is provided when working outdoors
    • Eligible for a retention and performance bonus
