    Responsibilities

    The Shipping and Recieving Clerk plays a key role in the success of the Food and Beverage team. Responsibilites include;

    • Receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from stockroom or warehouse
    • Keep records and compile stock reports
    • Maintain all of kitchen storerooms, coolers, walk-ins, dry storage areas and assists the Chef in keeping the back of house areas organized
    • Follow all Parks Canada environmental by-laws, code of conduct, core values, policies and procedures
    • Receive and count stock items; active role in monthly inventory
    • Receive, sort and deliver all recycling from the Banff Gondola to the recycling depot
    • Record all data daily when received, go through all shipments with invoice and cross check to ensure all products have been delivered
    • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses or off site storage as instructed
    • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in stockrooms, warehouses, coolers, walk-ins and all dry storage areas on and off site
    • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
    • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damage
    • Keep in mind expiry dates: follow Fresh In Fresh Out on all products and advize Chef on stocking levels
    • Recommend disposal of excess, defective or obsolete stock
    • Drive truck to pick up incoming stock and to deliver to the areas
    • Work with chef by providing documentation on purchsing needs for general inventory PAR levels
    • Follow all regulations put forth by the Health and Safety Committee at the Banff Gondola
    • Following the guidelines on Safe Receiving

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract record issued by the Province of Alberta
    • Ability to accept responsibility and account for their actions
    • Punctual 
    • Organized and able to follow a systematic method 
    • Ability to have proper stock levels on shelves 
    • Effective communicator
    • Pays high attention to the details of the job
    • Able to get products to the destination safely following all food safe regulations
