    Responsibilities

    Inventory Team Lead plays a key role in the success of the Retail/Inventory team at the Banff Gondola. Gondola Inventory Team Lead reports directly to the Gondola Retail Manager. Responsibilities include;

    • Receive, store and issue products/materials, equipment and other items (heavy lifting)
    • Plan and organize product redistribution, inform all team members about deliveries
    • Count stock items, physically transfer retail inventory between all Brewster locations as requested
    • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouse or off-site
    • Effectively operate retail software in all aspects:
      • Retail inventory data maintenance
      • Purchase Orders management
      • Reporting
      • Physical Inventory
    • Cooperate with Retail/Photo/Inventory team members, contribute to team objectives
    • Analyze processes and offer improvements/solutions
    • Facilitate and execute training initiatives related to inventory management
    • Maintain product knowledge for all retail products (details, benefits, values)
    • Communicate observations and issues, monitor security in the retail environment 
    • Drive truck/van to pick up and redistribute product
    • Maintain retail storerooms and walk-ins, assist in keeping the back of house areas organized
    • Follow all Parks Canada environmental by-laws, code of conduct, core values, policies and procedures, safety regulations, guidelines on Safe Receiving

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Inventory management experience
    • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract record issued by the Province of Alberta
    • Ability to accept responsibility and account for their actions 
    • Organized and able to follow a systematic method 
    • Strong communication skills
    • High attention to the details of the job
    • Ability to get products to the destination safely following all safe regulations
