    Responsibilities

    The Toque Assistant Manager ensures the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
    Responsibilities include;

    • Supervise staff and ensure that customer expectations are exceeded at all times
    • Keep the F&B areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene practices
    • Recruitment, training, development and retention of high quality team members
    • Regular inventory management
    • Able to address customer complaints or issues, and resolve matters as expediently as possible
    • Oversee food storage and dining areas, ensuring that the facility remains in compliance with safety regulation and health codes
    • Maintain employee records, administer payroll and banquet gratuity pay out

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and abilities;

    • Food and beverage background
    • High school or equivalent education, degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset
    • 2 years in a hotel or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory position
    • Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, split shifts)
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time
    • Strong proven leadership qualities and management skills
    • Working knowledge of MICROS or similar P.O.S. system is an asset
