    Responsibilities

    The primary responsibility of this role is to create and inspire a culture of learning, development, coaching and engagement within F&B and Retail Hospitality through unique and innovative learning initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Hospitality, Maligne Valley.

    • To be an active member of the Maligne Valley Management team, supporting peers & continually working at building a cohesive team that works together effectively as “one team”
    • Conduct business with Guests, Staff and Suppliers with uncompromising integrity meeting our “Always Honest” and Pursuit collection core values
    • Create and execute a plan for in-house training which meets hospitality, safety and training requirements
    • Works with Learning and Retention Manager to facilitate learning needs assessments to determine required training programs and action plan accordingly
    • Responsible for training programs including development, delivery and evaluation
    • Ensures compliance with Government standards certificates (ie. ProServe and FoodSafe)
    • Create and lead succession, talent development and mentoring programs
    • Create and facilitate training in areas of expertise which will include safety, technical training, hospitality standards, change management, and other HR related programs
    • Oversee the exit interview process, participating in conducting exit Interviews and prepare an exit interview summary of trends
    • Develop, maintain and evaluate occupational health and safety procedures
    • During non-training periods support the Maligne Canyon or Lake operations with leadership days off coverage as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 2 -3 years’ experience in creating, facilitating learning initiatives and learning sessions
    • Strong team player with proven leadership, and exceptional communication skills
    • Enthusiastic, energetic person who is capable of delivering results in a very unique environment
    • Unparalleled commitment to health and safety
    • A passion for F&B and Retail hospitality
    • Unwavering commitment to a hospitality experience and employee engagement
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, solutions driven and follow through
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, update and adopt processes
    • Human Resources experience an asset
    • Ability to think and design strategically, able to determine needs and apply solutions
    • An eye for detail and a vision for excellence
    • Strong planning, multitasking and organizational skills
    • Must have a passion for creating an unparalleled employee experience
    • A passion and commitment to the education and development of others
