    • Contributes to making the Glacier Adventure and Glacier Skywalk experience as entertaining and informative as possible for guests visiting from around the globe
    • Ensuring all guides are delivering high quality interpretive tour content in a professional and interactive manner, meeting the service goals and expectations
    • Taking new staff through the Interpretive Training Program
    • Conducting regular Interpretive Evaluations of Glacier Adventure Driver Guides and Glacier Host Guides
    • Observing and reporting any positive items or issues to the Department Manager or Supervisor when in the field


    The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent (required)

    • Previous Interpretive guiding experience or educational background in Geology, glaciology (IGA certification) an asset

    • Previous employee training experience or completing performance assessments

    • Able to provide effective, constructive interpretive feedback to department staff, regularly identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement

    • Computer skills (strength is excel, word and other Microsoft office applications)

    • Highly organized, effective team player, ability to think outside the box with a positive attitude, and problem solving skills

    • Friendly, mature, energetic personality

    • Standard First aid or higher an asset

    • Able to set a performance standard of excellence while operating in the field

    • Adhere to Pursuit Collection’s grooming policy and operate under our Always Honest Policy  

    • Excited by the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment

    Work Environment

    • Contract dates; March 21st to October 22nd, 2019
    • Typically 5 days on/2 days off
    • 6 days on/1 day off during peak periods
    • Days off may change with each schedule and depend on business level
    • Long weekends may incur schedule changes
    • Expect 35 – 44 hours per week depending on business levels
    • Polo shirts, North Face pants and indoor jacket will be issued on arrival
    • Outdoor uniform is provided when working outdoors
    • Eligible for a retention and performance bonus
